Gene B. Glick Company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for the Cambridge Square North apartment community. The role involves maintaining interiors and exteriors and ensuring resident satisfaction.

A one-time $1,000 hiring bonus is offered after 6 months of employment. Responsibilities include completing maintenance requests, repairing electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and flooring, plus snow removal, landscaping, and preparing vacants for market readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EPA designation/certification required.
• Valid driver's license in the state of residence.
• Ability to work overtime and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance requests promptly and courteously.
• Repair and maintain basic electrical circuits, outlets, and lighting.
• Repair and maintain plumbing fixtures such as water heaters and toilets.
• Repair and maintain appliances including refrigerator and dishwasher.
• Maintain HVAC systems and perform routine services.
• Repair carpet and tile and maintain exterior and interior areas.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and cleaning of common areas.
• Prepare vacants for market readiness and assist residents after hours.

Overview

We are searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician for our 380-unit Cambridge Square North apartment community.

*We are offering a one-time $1,000 hiring bonus for this position (paid after 6 months of employment)*

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the exterior and interior of the property and provide resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Complete all maintenance requests in an efficient and courteous manner.
• Repair and maintain simple electrical circuits, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
• Repair, install and maintain basic plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, lavatories, toilets, dishwashers.
• Repair, install and maintain basic appliances such as refrigerator, range, disposal, dishwasher, washer, and dryer.
• Service, maintain and trouble shoot HVAC systems.
• Repair carpeting and tile.
• Maintain lawns, grounds, landscaping, and parking lots including snow removal.
• Repair and maintain building exteriors and interior common areas.
• Complete preventative maintenance activities.
• Cleaning and housekeeping of common areas.
• Prepare vacant apartments for market ready condition, may include cleaning and painting.
• Provide resident support and respond to after-office hours emergency calls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
• Demonstrated ability or experience in the maintenance field desirable.
• Must maintain EPA designation/certification.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
• Able to work overtime and emergency call in.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
