Job summary

Gene B. Glick Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Woodbridge Bloomington community, a 430-unit apartment property. You will help maintain both exterior and interior spaces and support resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities include completing maintenance requests, repairing electrical and plumbing fixtures, appliances, flooring, and common areas, as well as landscaping and snow removal. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance desirable.
• Valid driver's license in the state of residence.
• Able to work overtime and respond to emergencies.
• Able to communicate effectively in English; Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete all maintenance requests in an efficient and courteous manner.
• Repair and maintain simple electrical circuits, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
• Repair, install and maintain basic plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, lavatories, toilets, dishwashers.
• Repair, install and maintain basic appliances such as refrigerator, range, disposal, dishwasher, washer, and dryer.
• Repair carpeting and tile.
• Maintain lawns, grounds, landscaping, and parking lots including snow removal.
• Repair and maintain building exteriors and interior common areas.
• Complete preventative maintenance activities.
• Cleaning and housekeeping of common areas.
• Prepare vacant apartment for market ready condition, may include cleaning and painting.
• Provide resident support and respond to after-office hours emergency calls.

We are searching for a Maintenance Technician for our 430-unit Woodbridge Bloomington apartment community.

We are offering a one-time $1,000 hiring bonus for this position (paid after 6 months of employment)*

The Maintenance Technician assists in maintaining the physical condition of the exterior and interior of the property and provide resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Complete all maintenance requests in an efficient and courteous manner.
• Repair and maintain simple electrical circuits, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
• Repair, install and maintain basic plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, lavatories, toilets, dishwashers.

• Demonstrated ability or experience in the maintenance field desirable.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
• Able to work overtime and emergency call in.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
