Job summary

Commercial and Residential Management Group (CRMG) is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to service multiple apartment communities in the Portland area, including East Burnside and Hillsdale. You will perform daily upkeep, repairs, and janitorial tasks to keep buildings, landscaping, and amenities well-maintained.

We offer a full-time schedule, 40 hours weekly, with benefits starting after 30 days and a company cell phone/gas stipend plus mileage reimbursements.

Qualifications

• One year as Maintenance Technician I or two years as a maintenance technician, preferably in property management.
• Janitorial experience is preferred.
• Motivation, time management, and ability to follow instructions alone or in a team.
• Knowledge of landscaping, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, and flooring repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily upkeep of buildings, landscaping, amenities, parking, and trash areas.

Commercial and Residential Management Group (CRMG) is looking for a Maintenance Technician II who can perform the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the buildings, landscaping, amenities, parking lot, and trash areas at the apartment communities of East Burnside, The Watershed at Hillsdale, Cedar Grove, and The Knoll at Tigard. Amenities at these communities vary but can include a community room, splash pad, and playground. These properties have a total of 194 units.

Commercial and Residential Management Group (CRMG) is looking for a Maintenance Technician II who can perform the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the buildings, landscaping, amenities, parking lot, and trash areas at the apartment communities of East Burnside, The Watershed at Hillsdale, Cedar Grove, and The Knoll at Tigard. Amenities at these communities vary but can include a community room, splash pad, and playground. These properties have a total of 194 units. The Maintenance Technician II will be required to perform essential maintenance duties including repairs, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, landscaping, and janitorial tasks. The Maintenance Technician II must have amazing attention to detail, time management skills, and be comfortable managing work orders using technology. Location: East Burnside (E Portland), The Watershed at Hillsdale (SW Portland), Cedar Grove (Beaverton, OR), The Knoll at Tigard (Tigard, OR)

Hourly Rate: $27.00-$30/hr.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM

Weekly Contracted Hours: 40 hrs.

Additional Compensation: A monthly $50.00 cell phone stipend, a monthly $100.00 gas stipend, and mileage reimbursement.

The Maintenance Technician II is eligible for benefits first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Requirements

What you will bring as the Maintenance Technician II

• One (1) year in the Maintenance Technician I position or Two (2) years of previous maintenance technician experience, preferably in property management for commercial or multi-family properties.


• Janitorial experience is preferred.


• Motivation, time management, and the ability to follow instructions working alone or as part of a team.


• Intermediate knowledge of landscaping, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, drywall installation and repairs, and installation and repair of flooring (required).


• Experience operating a pressure washer


• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.


• Knowledge and experience using a vacuum cleaner and other janitorial equipment, both manual and power, and handling chemicals with close attention to safety rules.


• Available for after-hours emergencies.


• Reliable transportation capable of transporting necessary tools, including power washing equipment.


• Possess current and valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and clean driving record to run work-related errands when needed.


• Ability to read, write and understand written and verbal communications and directions.


• Understand and administer landlord/tenant laws, State and Federal Labor Laws, Fair Housing Laws, and refrain from all illegal discrimination practices.
