Job summary

CRMG's Center Plaza Apartments in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform daily upkeep of the property including buildings, landscaping, amenities, and common areas. The role requires working 40 hours per week with a full-time schedule and after-hours availability.

Responsibilities span electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, and flooring tasks, plus operating a pressure washer and other janitorial equipment.

Qualifications

• 1 year in Maintenance Technician I or 2 years in maintenance, preferably in property management.
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
• Janitorial experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work alone or on a team.
• Knowledge of landscaping, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, and flooring installation/repair.
• Experience operating a pressure washer.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Read/write/understand written and verbal directions.
• Understand landlord/tenant laws and Fair Housing laws.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily upkeep and cleanliness of buildings, landscaping, amenities, parking lot, and trash areas.
• Perform repairs in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, and flooring as needed.
• Operate a pressure washer and janitorial equipment safely.
• Handle after-hours emergencies and transport tools as required.
• Ensure safety rules are followed and read/understand directions.

CRMG is looking for a Maintenance Technician II who can perform the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the buildings, landscaping, amenities, parking lot, and trash areas at the 185-unit apartment community of Center Plaza Apartments. Amenities at this apartment community include a fitness center and playground!

Location

Center Plaza Apartments (Beaverton, OR)

Hourly Rate

$24.00-$29.00/hr.

Schedule

Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM, or 8:00AM-4:30PM with a 30 min lunch

Weekly Contracted Hours

40 hrs.

Additional Compensation

A monthly $50.00 cell phone stipend and mileage reimbursement.

Requirements

What you will bring as the Maintenance Technician II

• One (1) year in the Maintenance Technician I position or Two (2) years of previous maintenance technician experience, preferably in property management for commercial or multi-family properties.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish and English is preferred.
• Janitorial experience is preferred.
• Motivation, time management, and the ability to follow instructions working alone or as part of a team.
• Intermediate knowledge of landscaping, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, drywall installation and repairs, and installation and repair of flooring (required).
• Experience operating a pressure washer.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Knowledge and experience using a vacuum cleaner and other janitorial equipment, both manual and power, and handling chemicals with close attention to safety rules.
• Available for after-hours emergencies.
• Reliable transportation capable of transporting necessary tools, including power washing equipment.
• Possess current and valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and clean driving record to run work-related errands when needed.
• Ability to read, write and understand written and verbal communications and directions.
• Understand and administer landlord/tenant laws, State and Federal Labor Laws, Fair Housing Laws, and refrain from all illegal discrimination practices.
