Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain production equipment to maximize performance and assist with maintaining electrical spare parts inventory.
- Perform repairs to restore equipment to proper and safe working condition.
- Install, set up, modify, and relocate equipment to meet production needs.
- Read and interpret electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics/diagrams.
- Test electrical and electronic components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
- Ensure production schedule is not disrupted by machine breakdowns or unsafe conditions; inform Maintenance Manager of changes in circuits and update diagrams.
- Follow LOCK OUT/TAG OUT procedures on unsafe or being serviced machines.
- Adhere to work orders and preventive/predictive maintenance systems, maintaining organized and clean workspaces.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on all production equipment.
- Complete electrical and mechanical projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor, complying with regulations.
- Follow safety policies and procedures at all times, demonstrating safe work practices.
- Complete other jobs, projects, and special assignments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and suggest safety improvements.
- Repair and replace electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components such as motors, relays, PLCs, switches, light curtains, and valves.
Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related role.
- Technical trade school certificate or military experience in a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment with multiple priorities.
- Team-oriented attitude.
- High attention to detail, precision, and follow-through.
- Ability to work rotating shifts.
- Ability to manage small projects effectively.
