Job summary

American Property Management is seeking a maintenance technician for Laguna Creek, a 160-unit garden-style community. The role requires 2+ years in multifamily or hotel maintenance, unit-turn expertise, and inventory tracking.

You will work on-site, handle basic repairs, and support resident needs while maintaining safety and quality standards. Applicants must live within 30 miles of the property, hold a valid driver’s license, and have strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in multifamily or hotel maintenance required within the last 10 years.
• 2+ years’ experience preferred.
• Applicants with trades experience will receive consideration.
• Must be well‑versed in the unit turn process from start to finish.
• Must have experience in tracking and maintaining inventory.
• Must provide your own basic hand tools – the Company will provide power tools.
• Experience providing great customer service to residents and/or customers is required.
• Driver's license is required.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• CPO certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Fluent in English with strong reading, speaking, and writing skills.

Position Overview Schedule – Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM - Flexibility to work additional hours may be required to meet company/project needs. On-Site Requirement: This position requires physical presence at your job location(s) during the scheduled hours. Please note that we are unable to consider current residents of the property for this position. Must live within 30 miles of the property and have reliable transportation. If relocating, relocation must be completed prior to start date.

Property Information – Laguna Creek, a 160-unit garden style apartment community built in 2003.

Compensation Package

• $25 to $28 / Hour*


• Bonus Incentives include: Monthly Leasing Bonuses!

What We’re Looking For

• Assist in getting units "rent ready".


• Abide by safety requirements at all times.


• Safely use chemicals and equipment as part of everyday duties.


• Maintain grounds, work and storage areas and dumpster areas on a daily basis to ensure curb appeal up to company standards.


• Paint and clean as needed to ensure timely unit turnover.


• Ensure lawns are mowed and trimmed and entryways, walkways and driveways are blown and free of debris.


• Ensure equipment is serviced on a regular basis to maintain safe operations.


• Must be able to be on‑call for emergencies or snow removal.


• Maintain and enforce all company policies and procedures as established in the Operations Manual.


• Must be able to clean units as needed.
