Job summary

Drury Plaza Hotel in St. Paul, MN, is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to keep our property safe and well-maintained. You will repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related systems while ensuring a positive guest and team experience with a +1 Service mindset.

We offer a quarterly bonus up to $3,200, paid time off, hotel discounts, free room nights, and growth through mentorship and cross-training. The starting pay range is $22.17–$43.37 per hour, with eligibility for the discretionary +1 Service

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge across plumbing, electrical, HVAC.
• Ability to train Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Know water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operations.
• Experience developing safety, ergonomic, and injury-prevention programs.
• Fluent English communication and written direction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, smooth-running hotel property and grounds.
• Ensure exceptional experiences for our diverse team members and guests.
• Complete repairs on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, lighting and HVAC systems.
• Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs in compliance with regulations.
• Keep detailed records and reports.
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Collaborate with management to recruit, interview, and schedule for department needs.
• Ensure an exceptional guest experience with a +1 Service attitude.

What you will do:

• Maintain safe and smooth-running physical hotel property and grounds.

• Complete repairs on a variety of systems such as plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, light carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
• Develop, implement, and monitor programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment in compliance with all appropriate regulations: ergonomic, emergency response, and injury prevention.
• Keep detailed records and reports.
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Collaborate with management to recruit, interview, and schedule for department needs.
• Ensure an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous, friendly, guest service with a +1 Service attitude.

• Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills, with ability to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance
• Capacity to provide ongoing training for Maintenance Tech I team members
• Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operations
• Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring programs to ensure work and safety compliance with ergonomic, emergency-response, and injury-prevention regulations
• Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair, and plumbing
• Ability to speak, write, and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English
• Flexibility to be available for emergency repairs

The starting wage may be above the minimum rate, based on relevant experience, skills, and education.
