Job summary

DHA, Housing Solutions for North Texas is seeking a maintenance technician to service DHA-owned rental properties across the region. You will perform maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment, applying problem-solving skills and safe working practices.

Key responsibilities include installing and repairing plumbing fixtures, replacing HVAC filters, upgrading electrical components, preparing vacant units for occupancy, and diagnosing mechanical issues.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical vocational training required.
• Texas Driver’s License required.
• Two years of building maintenance experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work on facilities, systems and structures (hardware, fixtures, appliances).
• Assemble, install or repair plumbing fixtures and maintain bathrooms.
• Replace HVAC air filters, vents and thermostats.
• Replace electrical switches, circuit breakers and outlets under supervision.
• Prepare vacant housing units for occupancy, including repairs and painting.
• Repair or replace doors, locks, windows, flooring, roofing and pipes.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and implement solutions.
