Job description

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician II to join our facility in Cofield, NC to support and improve plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a broader range of technically complex tasks, setting an example of professional efficiency and sometimes providing technical direction to less experienced maintenance staff.
• Demonstrate and maintain Maintenance Technician II proficiency within 10 months of hire.
• Provide equipment maintenance, interventions and repairs, and conduct preventive machinery maintenance.
• Perform intermediate level troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Support operators with machine overall equipment reliability and assist in equipment set‑up and production changeovers.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner and report unusual, inefficient or dangerous mechanical and electrical situations.
• Maintain work records and prepare clear oral and written reports.
• Follow all safety standards, quality protocols and use appropriate safety precautions to minimize exposure to chemicals, dust and mechanical or electrical hazards.
• Work all required schedules; travel to nearby locations may be required.

Minimum Education

• High School Diploma or GED and equivalent experience.
• Preferred: 2‑year technical degree in engineering or industrial maintenance.

Experience Requirements

• 3–5 years industrial maintenance experience, troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment or equivalent military experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in hydraulics, mechanics, electrical, welding and rigging.
• Commitment to continuous learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Able to move freely throughout the facilities including climb vertical heights (0‑150 ft), carry tools and equipment (0‑50 lbs), tolerate temperatures (0‑100 °F), humidity and noise ranging 50‑100 db, and handle chemicals (MSDS sheets available).

Must be able to wear protective equipment, including self‑contained breathing apparatus, and travel to remote facilities and customer locations.
