Job summary

TDP Bakery in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to join our fast-paced bakery operations. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient performance.

This full-time role offers a Tuesday–Friday 4:00 AM–12:00 PM, Saturday 6:00 AM–2:00 PM schedule, 40 hours per week, with starting pay of $27.00 per hour and opportunities for growth based on performance and demonstrated traction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated production systems.
• Knowledge of industrial controls, sensors, motors, conveyors, and facility support systems.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, equipment repair, documentation, and work order systems.
• Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on bakery production equipment, facility systems, and related machinery.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment issues to reduce downtime.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and complete work orders through the maintenance management system.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, electrical diagrams, and equipment documentation.
• Follow all safety, LOTO, PPE, GMP, and food safety requirements.
• Operate or obtain certification to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other powered industrial equipment as needed.
• Partner with production, sanitation, and safety teams to support maintenance priorities and production goals.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and reach overhead as needed.
• Ability to use tools and equipment safely and occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.
• Manufacturing bakery environment with exposure to machinery, noise, temperature variation, and moving equipment.
• Regular standing, walking, and time on the production floor are required.
