Job summary

QVC Group in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform and facilitate general facility repairs, maintenance of production-related equipment, and support for conveyors and automation systems. The role requires working from our Bethlehem facility with on-call availability and ability to work days or nights, including weekends and overtime.

• 6 months to 3 years experience with mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform and facilitate general facility repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, walls) and assist vendors.
• Maintain production equipment and safety using 5S and daily cleaning.
• Support conveyor, automation, and sorter systems repairs.
• Adhere to lock out/tag out safety policy.
• Identify and address safety hazards and potential issues.

Where You'll Work

This role is onsite and will require you to work from our Bethlehem, PA daily. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

What You'll Do

• Building Maintenance - Perform and/or facilitate general facility repairs such as plumbing, electrical, lighting, HVAC, and wall repair. Perform repairs on dock doors, dock locks, and dock plates to resolve problems and ensure successful operation. Escort and assist outside vendors.
• Equipment Maintenance - Perform planned and unplanned repairs, and preventative maintenance to production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building equipment. Identify and correct safety hazards and potential maintenance issues before they become critical. Help with repairs when unscheduled breakdowns occur.
• Conveyor, Automation and Sorter Systems - Support and perform planned and unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain operation of conveyors and sorter equipment. Help with conveyor, automation and sortation system repairs.
• Electrical - Have a fundamental understanding of AC and DC systems and how to use a voltage meter. Will follow lock out/tag out policy.
• Safety / Facility Cleanliness -Practice and be a leader in 5S and safety procedures to ensure that the area is safe, organized, and clean. Maintain complete inventory and cleaning of all equipment and work areas daily. Identify and act immediately to correct any safety hazards, spills., to avoid the risk of accident, and elevate issues.
• Other responsibilities, and activities as assigned. To ensure all requests are completed in a safe.

What You'll Bring

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals.
• Familiarity with blueprints, and engineering specifications
• High School graduate or equivalent; Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certification (i.e., electrical, controls, plumbing, welding) or equivalent military technical training.
• 6 months - 3 years' experience with mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to be on call, work days or nights, weekends and overtime
• Prefer working knowledge of voltage meter and AC/DC systems
