Dogwood Industries LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join our Sedro-Woolley, WA team. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot basic equipment, and support production with safety-focused practices in a metal fabrication environment.

The role requires 1–2 years of industrial equipment maintenance experience, ability to read schematics and manuals, and comfort with hand/power tools. Swing shift availability offers shift differentials and a path to growth in a fast-paced

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment and facility systems
• Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
• Respond to work tickets including repairs and equipment modifications
• Assist with diagnosing equipment issues and escalating complex issues
• Set up equipment (leveling, anchoring, adjusting, set stops and squaring arms)
• Maintain an inventory of commonly used tools, parts, and supplies including for spares and consumables
• All other duties as assigned

Dogwood Industries LLC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in Sedro-Woolley, WA. A successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of customer service and effectively collaborate with leadership across all departments. In addition to traditional facility maintenance, a successful candidate will be able to successfully perform preventative and unscheduled maintenance tasks on production equipment in Dogwood Industries’ metals fabrication shop.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment and facility systems
• Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
• Respond to basic work tickets including repairs and complete equipment modifications as directed
• Assist with diagnosing equipment issues and escalating complex issues
• Perform small tool disassembly and repair
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to identify and fix problems
• Maintain an inventory of commonly used tools, parts, and supplies including for spares and consumables
• Set up equipment (leveling, anchoring, adjusting, set stops and squaring arms)
• All other duties as assigned

Extended hours of work may be required.

Requirements

• Demonstrates a high level of customer service and effectively collaborates with leadership across all departments
• Ability to follow periodic maintenance per manufacturers recommendations and as needed
• Ability to work safely and follow company safety rules and guidelines
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Ability to read and understand schematic parts diagrams
• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals
• Ability to order small tool parts
• Ability to write neatly and speak clearly
• Ability to keep a clean work area and equipment
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards

Additional Skills Preferred

• Familiarity with 120V-480V 3PH
• Familiar with bridge crane and hoist maintenance
• Basic welding skills
• Two-year technical degree
• Forklift experience
• Basic carpentry skills
• Basic computer skills

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years prior experience maintaining industrial equipment or similar work.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance for extended periods of time. Be able to lift, pull and push material and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. Be able to lift 50 pounds. The employee will be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors. This position requires physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities in a primarily production environment. The work environment characteristics here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Compensation

$25.00 - $33.00, per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
