Job summary

AdventHealth in Sanford, Florida is seeking a reliable facilities maintenance technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs across hospital facilities. You will handle painting, plumbing, minor electrical work, and millwork, prioritizing requests to keep standards and safety intact.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in facilities maintenance.
• Experience repairing plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and millwork.
• Driver's License required.
• Professional painting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems and non-technical equipment (painting, plumbing, minor electrical, millwork).
• Manage warehouse inventory and deliver items to different departments or locations.
• Assess and plan maintenance needs; conduct monthly inspections and implement needed repairs.
• Obtain required approvals for supplies and repairs from outside vendors; prioritize requests by severity.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility and support additional East Florida locations as needed.

Job Description:

Performs routine maintenance and repairs on physical plants and non-technical equipment, including painting, plumbing, minor electrical work, and millwork. Manages the warehouse and its inventory of equipment and furnishings. Assists with assessing and planning maintenance needs for facilities. Conducts monthly inspections of facilities and implements necessary repairs to maintain standards. Completes projects such as minor remodeling and basic plumbing repairs. Maintains a detailed Maintenance Log of daily jobs and projects performed. Ensures safe and effective use of equipment needed for daily maintenance and repairs. Collects and analyzes pricing from various vendors for supplies and repairs. Obtains required approvals for supplies and repairs from outside vendors. Prioritizes requests for repairs and maintenance assistance according to need and severity. Maintains equipment, vehicles, and warehouse in a clean and organized manner. Delivers various items and equipment to different departments or locations.

Supporting East Florida locations in Lake, Sumter, and Marion counties.
