Job summary

Distribution Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join our Carlisle, PA facility. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs across material handling equipment, conveyors, and building systems.

You will assist with troubleshooting, documentation, and safe maintenance practices while collaborating with the Maintenance Manager and Operations leadership. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least 1 year in maintenance, and basic knowledge of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in maintenance supporting material handling systems and building equipment or related trade/technical school equivalency.
• Basic knowledge of electrical theory including AC/DC and single/three phase power.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical powertrain systems.
• Basic Carpentry and Plumbing skills.
• Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on MHE, conveyors, dock doors, warehouse equipment, and facility infrastructure.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, cleaning, and component replacement.
• Perform predictive maintenance using tools such as ultrasound, infrared thermometer, and multimeter.
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders under supervision.
• Assist with troubleshooting basic mechanical, electrical, and facility issues and escalate to senior staff.
• Maintain accurate work order documentation and maintenance logs.
• Assist with maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe condition.
• Follow safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Participate in training to increase maintenance knowledge.
