Knoxville's Community Development Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician I responsible for performing general janitorial duties to maintain KCDC's buildings and grounds. The ideal candidate will keep common areas clean and assist with office set-ups as needed.
This position requires a high school diploma or GED and preferably at least one year of custodial experience, along with knowledge of tools and effective communication skills.
Under the supervision of Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician I performs general janitorial duties to maintain assigned KCDC buildings and grounds. The position is responsible for keeping common areas clean and clear of debris to reduce risk to residents, visitors, and staff. All activities support Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation’s ("KCDC" or "Authority") mission, strategic goals, and objectives.
This is a non‑supervisory job classification.

High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one (1) year of custodial experience, preferably related to property maintenance. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
No special requirements at appointment. Some positions may require possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to be insurable under the Authority’s automobile insurance plan at the standard rate.
