Maintenance Technician I / II (1st Shift)

Position Overview

Work shift: M-F 6:00 am - 2:00 pm. Available overtime, including mandatory overtime once a month.

The Maintenance Technician in the GenMark team supports the development and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, instruments, fixtures, and tooling used in manufacturing, research, and development environments. Responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting and adjusting Mechanical, Electrical, and software issues on GenMark’s ePlex Cartridge and Consumable manufacturing equipment and systems.
• Performing preventive maintenance following manufacturer specifications.
• Assisting with process improvement projects and supporting manufacturing, R&D, and other company needs.

Additional Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician II

• Executing equipment validations (IQ/OQ) and documenting activities per Good Documentation Practices.
• Leading special projects and performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Maintenance Technician I: High School Diploma required, 0-2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment or technical/trade school degree preferred. Experience in electro-mechanical equipment repair, troubleshooting, system calibration, or preventive maintenance preferred. Knowledge of CGMP, FDA 21 CFR-Part 820, or similar regulated environments required.

Maintenance Technician II: High School Diploma required, at least 2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment or technical/trade school degree preferred. Experience with asset database management, laboratory diagnostic instrument software, and systems required. Knowledge of CGMP, FDA 21 CFR-Part 820 required.
