Job summary

Baker Engineering, LLC is seeking a Junior Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance in a manufacturing setting. You will work under the Lead Maintenance Technician to perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and general facility upkeep.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, is reliable, and eager to learn, with experience using common hand and power tools and following safety protocols. Training provided, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, construction, mechanical, or handyman roles is helpful.
• Comfort with common hand and power tools and performing basic mechanical and facility repairs safely.
• Able to identify routine issues and escalate when needed.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision after receiving direction.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Maintenance Technician with routine repairs, inspections, planned maintenance, machine moves, and larger maintenance projects.
• Complete PM checklists and basic service activities such as cleaning, lubrication checks, and inspections.
• Address basic issues like leaks, loose guards, damaged hoses, and worn hardware within training.
• Perform general building upkeep including lighting, doors, locks, and mounting shelves or signs.
• Help maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and common spaces.
• Support workstation improvements, equipment organization, and safety improvements.
• Organize tools, spare parts, and communicate when items need reordering.
• Assist outside service providers by coordinating access and supporting work onsite.
• Record completed work and escalate safety concerns when needed.
