Job summary

Guhring USA in Novi, MI seeks a skilled technician to diagnose, repair and calibrate a wide range of machines and equipment, covering mechanical, electrical and electronic components. You will work from drawings and schematics, align machine components and install or replace parts as needed.

You will install and maintain plant electrical systems, follow lockout/tagout procedures, keep work area clean, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing complex machine problems using diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and schematics.
• Skilled fitting of bearings and spindles and alignment of components.
• Familiarity with electrical installation and basic PLC/electronic controls is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose operating problems on machines and equipment using diagnostic tools.
• Work from drawings and schematics; fit and align components; replace parts as needed.
• Perform electrical installation and maintenance; lay out complex wiring circuits per codes.
• Maintain lock out/tag out procedures and keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
