Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to maintain a variety of machines, equipment and forklifts in its Monticello plant. The role emphasizes safety, initiative, teamwork and adherence to preventive maintenance.

The position operates on the 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, hours may vary by operations). A High School Diploma or GED is required, with knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems and mechanical drives preferred. Base pay is $26.00–$31.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Understand safety rules for manufacturing environments.
• Repair and install electrical equipment including generators and transformers.
• Perform visual and mechanical inspections of machinery.
• Follow preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain varied machines, equipment and forklifts in the plant.
• Diagnose electrical system issues and apply standard load calculations.
• Use welding equipment for layout and fabrication tasks.
• Notify management about major repairs and improvements.
