Job description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Maintenance Technician I to contribute to our Distribution team in Chambersburg, PA. This individual, under limited supervision, is responsible for performing complex diagnostics and repairs related to distribution center facilities and equipment. The technician ensures that all equipment in the distribution center is maintained properly by performing diverse duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment to OEM standards. This person collaborates with leadership in daily support to internal customers and the maintenance team.

Pay: $27 and up, depending on experience.

  • B Shift – Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday (7:00 am - 7:00 pm)

What You'll Need:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 1 year experience as a technician in a production or manufacturing environment, or equivalent education/experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of facility electrical wiring and power distribution
  • Understanding of mechanical functions/applications
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and prints
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills, including AC/DC control wiring and relay logic
  • Basic knowledge of PLC systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment
  • Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of servo, hydraulic, and pneumatically actuated equipment
  • Familiarity with INFOR-EAM or similar Maintenance Management Systems

What You'll Do:

  • Evaluate equipment failures and perform complex emergency/unscheduled repairs
  • Ensure repairs and downtime do not impact service level agreements
  • Perform technical duties including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of production/facility machines
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance and service
  • Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance
  • Detect faulty operations and defective materials, making necessary repairs and reporting unusual situations
  • Operate motorized equipment such as forklifts, order selectors, pallet jacks, and floor sweepers
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Maintain documentation for facility and equipment
