Mandel is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician I or Apprentice to join our team at Hackney House, located in Oconomowoc, WI. In this role, you will maintain the property buildings and grounds, diagnose work orders, and perform repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structural, and appliances.

Duties of a Maintenance Tech include:

• Perform general facilities services such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC repairs, carpentry, appliance repairs, glass replacement, etc.
• Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and notify management upon completion or pending needs.
• Be available for on-call hours in a rotation, including some weekends and nights.
• Keep amenity areas clean and operational, monitor safety equipment, and maintain records.
• Participate in preventative maintenance tasks like pool care, lighting, filter changes, and inspections.
• Perform routine maintenance on vacant units efficiently before new residents move in.
• Assist with groundskeeping duties including trash removal and cleaning.

Requirements for the Maintenance Tech:

• Availability to participate in the on-call rotation (once every 5-12 weeks, depending on region and staffing).
• Eligible for paid on-call stipends, holiday pay, and mileage reimbursement.
• Available to work 40 hours per week.
• Prior maintenance or facilities experience.

Recommended but not required skills/certifications:

• EPA Universal, Type 1 or 2 certifications
• CPO certification
• 0-3 years of maintenance, facilities, or HVAC experience
