Summary

Join our team as a Level I Maintenance Technician. You will collaborate with a dedicated and diverse team to support safe and smooth plant operations by continuously improving our machinery and maintenance reliability. You will also have an opportunity to grow in your role and learn on the job while you receive additional maintenance certifications and training. Associates in the Maintenance Tech I classification receive on-the-job training and experience in industrial maintenance.

Schedule

2nd Shift (Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 12:00pm; Weekend overtime required as business needs dictate)

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Demonstrate/achieve and maintain Maintenance Tech I proficiency within 10 months of hire.
• Assist with maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine inspections.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Assist in managing machine performance through setup and changeover.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly. Maintain work records and prepare reports.
• Follow all safety standards and quality protocols.
• Collaborate with production associates to solve reliability problems.
• Report unusual or dangerous mechanical/electrical situations.
• Use safety precautions to minimize exposure to hazards. Observe all safety protocols.
• Work scheduled hours; occasional travel to nearby locations may be required.

Minimum Education

• High School Diploma or GED and Equivalent Experience

Experience Requirements

• 0-3 Years in Industrial maintenance or military experience related to mechanical/electrical repairs.
• Beginner proficiency in hydraulics, mechanics, electrical, welding, and rigging.
• Effective communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• 2-year Technical Degree in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance.

Environmental and Physical Requirements

• Physical activities include sitting, standing, walking, climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and repetitive tasks.
• Occasional travel and exposure to wet, hot, or cold environments, noise, and chemicals.
• Use of protective gear required.
