Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician I performs preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and facilities, assists operators with minor issues, and maintains records of repairs and tests. Must demonstrate basic troubleshooting skills and proficiency in at least one area of printing bindery or packaging machine maintenance. Responsible for repairs, rebuilds, and supporting upgrades, while communicating issues beyond their abilities.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist with minor maintenance and repairs, perform electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and audits.
• Support facilities maintenance and other assigned duties.
• Review performance data for improvement opportunities.
• Lead or assist with engineering upgrades and projects.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Mechanical/Electronic courses preferred

Experience

• Strong mechanical reasoning and conscientiousness
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Windows-based applications

Communication and Contacts

Continuous communication with operators, team leaders, managers, suppliers, and engineering is required to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Decision Making

Judgment required daily for machine downtime and troubleshooting decisions.

Other

Knowledge of lockout/tagout and hot work procedures, ability to follow instructions, and perform physical labor including lifting up to 40 lbs., standing, and climbing.

All team members must demonstrate company values, support internal/external audits, and adhere to safety policies.

Additional Information

• Hourly Pay Rate: $23.00 - $26.00
• Hours: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with potential overtime
