Job description

Our client, a leading U.S. manufacturer of wire and cable products, is seeking Maintenance Technicians (Level II) to support their plant operations in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This is a hands-on, floor-level role focused on keeping complex manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently. Candidates must be skilled in both electrical and mechanical maintenance and have experience working on actual manufacturing machines, not just conveyors or basic assembly lines.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial machinery maintenance experience
  • Strong electrical/mechanical repair skills (e.g., extruders, draw machines, heavy-duty equipment)
  • Ability to interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and OEM manuals
  • Experience using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other test devices
  • Proficiency in CMMS systems and Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable lifting 50 lbs, climbing, and working in confined spaces

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in technical maintenance or certification from a trade school
  • Hands-on knowledge of shop tools, precision measuring instruments, and component-level troubleshooting
  • Completion of a recognized maintenance certification or trade test

Salary & Benefits:

  • Hourly Pay Range: $58,000 – $66,000 annually
  • Overtime Eligible: Yes (paid hourly)

  • Shifts Available:

    • 2 positions on 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

    • 1 position on 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
