Job summary

Sephora is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician for our Omni-Channel Distribution Center in Avon, IN. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspections on motorized material handling and warehouse equipment to keep operations running smoothly.

Essential Functions

• Competently and accurately complete equipment and facility repairs and upgrades in plumbing, painting, and basic facility upkeep.
• Accurately complete Preventive Maintenance tasks on selected motorized material handling equipment and warehousing equipment including lubrication, cleaning, and simple repairs.
• Check, change, and clean powered industrial truck batteries.
• Properly document necessary equipment repairs and adjustments.
• Provide general labor or perform custodial and other household fixture repair.
• Use various motorized material handling equipment as necessary to successfully complete maintenance assignments.
• Assist in the set up, tear down, and clean up of all company social functions, meetings, and events.
• Comply with all safety laws, Sephora’s safety policies, and Company Loss Prevention policies; report violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule, including required overtime based on business needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of general maintenance practices for motorized material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of standard maintenance practices such as lubrication, adjustments, set‑up, and calibration.
• Ability to operate standard hand/power tools and shop equipment safely and proficiently.
• Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Organizational skills and ability to multi‑task.
• Ability to work closely and effectively with others to promote teamwork.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to be flexible and respond to changing priorities and needs within the operations.

Working Conditions

• Moderate but varying temperature and humidity in office and warehouse environments.
• Work performed inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather.
• Regular exposure to cold, heat, dust, pollen, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, sit, squat, lift, and/or walk for the duration of the scheduled shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be comfortable working at heights of up to 32 feet when operating a scissor lift and other warehouse lift equipment.
• Must have manual dexterity to safely and competently operate power tools and other mechanical equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with technical training and/or experience.
• Background in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Material handling equipment maintenance experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting base pay: $26.50 – $28.35/hr. Certain work schedules may also be eligible for shift differential pay.
