Job summary

Yokohama Tire Corporation is seeking a Maintainence Technician to ensure that equipment is maintained for maximum production capacity. Responsibilities include verifying maintenance work orders, managing projects, and ensuring a safe work environment.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma and 5-8 years of related experience, including knowledge of PLC’s and safety protocols. Strong technical and communication skills are essential to support the work in the department.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years related experience including good working knowledge of PLC’s, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding equipment.
• Effective background in environmental safety and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Verifies Preventative Maintenance work orders are properly matched.
• Ensures adequate spare parts are available.
• Schedules shutdown work with Planners.

Job description

Summary

The Maintainence Technician assures that equipment is maintained for maximum available production capacity.

Responsibilities

• Verifies Preventative Maintenance work orders are properly matched to the equipment in the area.
• Follow through for accurate Countermeasures on Major Breakdown Reports
• Ensures adequate spare parts are available
• Manages any ongoing projects in the department
• Interacts with Vendors and Contractors for related work in the Department
• Understanding and implementation of a safe work environment
• Schedules shutdown work with Planners
• Assists with creation of One Point Lessons and Standard Operating Procedures for tasks necessary for more efficient repair and troubleshooting
• Ensures that department is kept in a clean 5s standard
• Works closely with Maintenance Supervisor on communicating work load and recommended improvements
• Requires On Call availability
