Watson Custom Tanks in Springfield, MO is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician I to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment, perform repairs, and support maintenance of production machinery. This hands-on role emphasizes safety, welding, and mechanical problem solving on a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule.

Ideal candidates will have experience with 480V three-phase electrical systems, pneumatic/hydraulic maintenance, and the ability to fabricate parts as needed.

Qualifications

Do you enjoy troubleshooting equipment, solving mechanical problems, and keeping operations running smoothly? Watson Custom Tanks is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician I to join our Facilities Maintenance team. In this hands‑on role, you'll help maintain and repair machinery, equipment, tools, and facility systems that support our manufacturing operations.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and machinery issues
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Inspect components for wear, alignment, and performance issues
• Repair and install pneumatic, hydraulic, and air systems
• Use welding and fabrication skills to repair or create parts as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Support facility maintenance projects and other assigned duties

What We’re Looking For

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery
• Working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V three-phase
• Pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance experience
• Ability to use fabrication and metalworking equipment such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and precision measuring tools
• Welding experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to safety
• Ability to work effectively with teammates across the organization

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds
• Safely work with tools, machinery, and maintenance equipment
• Wear required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toe boots
