Plymouth Housing seeks a Maintenance Technician I to support residential unit turnovers and repairs across multiple buildings. You will work with the Maintenance team, collaborate with others, and may operate Plymouth vehicles in occupied spaces with exposure to pests or bodily fluids.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, one year in multi-family building maintenance, a valid Washington driver license, and basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel).
This is a unionized position represented by Local 8 of the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU). Starting wage is $34.29 an hour.
The Maintenance Technician I assists with residential unit turnovers and maintenance repairs in all Plymouth Housing Group buildings. The employee in this position is a member of the Maintenance team which includes Float Janitors and will be expected to work in collaboration with others as well as independently. This position requires that the employee work in occupied and unoccupied units in conditions that may include exposure to pests, needles and bodily fluids.
Education: High school diploma, GED certification or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Experience: One year experience in multi-family building maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and locksmithing). Experience in assessing repair needs.
Licensure/Certification: Valid Washington State Driver License with fully insurable driving record.
