Plymouth Housing Group in Seattle is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support residential unit turnovers and maintenance repairs across its buildings. You will work as part of the Maintenance team, collaborating with colleagues and independently in occupied and unoccupied units, with exposure to pests, needles and bodily fluids.
The role includes proactive preventative maintenance, repairs across carpentry, electrical and plumbing areas, and coordination of supplies and vendor access.
The Maintenance Technician I assists with residential unit turnovers and maintenance repairs in all Plymouth Housing Group buildings. The employee in this position is a member of the Maintenance team which includes Float Janitors and will be expected to work in collaboration with others as well as independently. This position requires that the employee work in occupied and unoccupied units in conditions that may include exposure to pests, needles and bodily fluids.

Education: High school diploma, GED certification or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
Experience: One year experience in multi-family building maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and locksmithing.) Experience in assessing repair needs.
Licensure/Certification (or ability to obtain): Valid Washington State Driver License with fully insurable driving record.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems in multi-story buildings, e.g., pump repairs, replacement of water heaters, fans, baseboard heaters and thermostatic heating valves is desired.
