Job summary

The Metropolitan Library Commission Of Oklahoma County is seeking a Full Time Facilities Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs at the MLS Service Center in Oklahoma City, OK. This 40-hour week role requires a high school diploma and a valid driver's license.

You will inspect, maintain, and repair library buildings, grounds, and equipment, with up to 50% travel between sites as needed and occasional on-call hours.

Qualifications

Job Details

Location: Service Center - Oklahoma City, OK 73105. Primary workplace: MLS Service Center, 300 NE 50th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73105.

Position Type: Full Time. Education Level: High School.

Salary Range: $17.35 - $20.83 per hour. Travel Percentage: Up to 50%. Job Category: Facilities.

Summary: Under general supervision, conducts preventive maintenance activities and performs repairs on library buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Work Hours and Schedule

Full-time position working 40 hours per week. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional on-call hours.

This position is not exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and is classified as safety-sensitive.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of preventive maintenance experience; or any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid State Driver's License.
• Current Motor Vehicle Insurance.
• Acceptable Driving Record as defined in the Driver Safety Procedures.

Required Within 60 Days of Employment

• Register as a Mechanical Apprentice with the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board.
• Complete an OSHA-compliant forklift certification course.
