Job summary

Hyatt Vacation Ownership is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support villa care and guest experiences on-site in Hawaii. The role covers preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and responding to guest requests to ensure comfortable, well-maintained accommodations.

Ideal candidates will perform routine inspections, assist with HVAC readings and appliance checks, and participate in training for safety and career growth.

Qualifications

• Performs VillaCare preventive maintenance tasks such as basic painting and repairs.
• Responds to guest repair requests and assists with maintenance tasks.
• Willing to participate in safety training and career development.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs as assigned.
• Carry out minor building repairs and respond to guest repair requests.
• Manage engineering-related inventory and tools.

Hourly Rate: $34.61

Valid driver’s license may be required with at least one year of clean driving history.

As a Maintenance Technician I, a typical day will include:

• Performs Villa Care Preventive Maintenance tasks as assigned. (i.e. Basic Painting; Basic Repairs such as replacing lightbulbs. Performs temperature readings on appliances/HVAC, etc.)
• Performs minor building repairs as assigned.
• Responds and attends to guest repair requests.
• Performs general engineering-related inventory duties.
• Participate in regular training for safety, technical knowledge, and career development as applicable.

• Interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
• Contribute to team goals.
• Always follow company policies and safety procedures.

To Become a Maintenance Technician I at HVC:

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
• Lift/Carry/Push/Pull Items that Weigh up to 50lbs without assistance.
• Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
