Job summary

Gene B. Glick Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 460-unit Woods of Eagle Creek apartment community in Indianapolis. You will assist in maintaining the property's exterior and interior and ensure resident satisfaction.

A one-time $1,000 hiring bonus is offered after 6 months of employment. Responsibilities include completing maintenance requests, repairing electrical, plumbing, and appliances, maintaining common areas and grounds, and preparing vacant units for market readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated ability or experience in the maintenance field desirable.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
• Able to work overtime and respond to emergency calls.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to read and comprehend English.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete all maintenance requests in an efficient and courteous manner.
• Repair and maintain electrical circuits, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
• Repair, install and maintain basic plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, lavatories, toilets, and dishwashers.
• Repair, install and maintain basic appliances such as refrigerator, range, disposal, dishwasher, washer, and dryer.
• Repair carpeting and tile.
• Maintain lawns, grounds, landscaping, and parking lots including snow removal.
• Repair and maintain building exteriors and interior common areas.
• Complete preventative maintenance activities.
• Cleaning and housekeeping of common areas.
• Prepare vacant apartment for market ready condition, may include cleaning and painting.
• Provide resident support and respond to after-office hours emergency calls.
