Job summary

Chenega MIOS SBU in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support DoD assets on our fleet maintenance team. You will perform repairs, fabrication, and preventive maintenance using hydraulic equipment, basic hand tools, and standard shop processes to ensure readiness and reliability.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and an interim Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Interim Secret clearance is required.
• 1+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to travel 20-30% to CONUS/OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities

• Track equipment Work Orders using CMMS software.
• Perform services on and repair hydraulic systems.
• Fabricate using hydraulic shears, brakes, hydraulic presses, and basic hand tools.
• Inspect, repair, and replace braking and suspension systems on vehicles and trailers.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance repairs on a wide variety of Material Handling Equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Venturi, LLC, A Chenega company, has an exciting career opportunity for aMaintenance Technician I who will select or adapt standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents. The Maintenance Technician I receives initialinstructions, equipment requirements, and advice from a supervisor in addition to performing recurring work.This Technician will work on the fleet maintenance team supporting our Department of Defense customers. This work includes the repair, fabrication, manufacture, rebuilding, assembly overhaul, modification, refurbishment, rebuilding, test, analysis, repair-process design, in‑service engineering, upgrade, painting, and disposal of parts, assemblies, subassemblies, components, or end items that require shop facilities, tooling, support equipment, and/or personnel of higher technical skills and knowledge of processes beyond the average level of capability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ years of relevant experience is preferred
• Possess a valid driver's license and maintain it for the contract duration
• Interim Secret clearance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Flexibility, versatility, willingness to learn and grow, drive, and strong work ethic
• Eagerness to learn new skills needed to become an effective multi-craft Technician
• Proper use of standard hand tools and material handling equipment.
• Ability to maintain a driver's license.
• Ability to lift boxes, packages, and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds using proper equipment and lifting techniques.
• Physically fit with full use of arms, legs, and back.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required training and certifications.
• Ability to use computers to search for and generate information using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel 20-30% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
