Hendrickson in Clarksville, TN is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maximize productive time and reliability of equipment. You will support production teams, coordinate maintenance, and assist with installations and startups.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with an Industrial Maintenance program, basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, and willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift. Medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits are provided.

Job Description

Position Purpose:

Maximize productive time of equipment. Improve the reliability and repeatability of production systems. Provide support to production associates as they assume greater responsibility for the maintenance of their own equipment. Coordinate and assist with the equipment installation and start-up.

Essential Functions:

• Complete periodical and incidental machine maintenance in an accurate and timely manner. Perform preventative maintenance as outlined on preventative maintenance schedules of equipment manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Plan and implement corrective action in conjunction with management direction. Comply with all safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain building, equipment, and grounds in a clean and orderly manner.
• Assist in the purchase of maintenance supplies and equipment parts as required or directed.

Education and Training

• High school diploma/ GED and completion of an Industrial Maintenance technical program or equivalent experience in applicable area is acceptable .

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an Industrial Maintenance technical program; or a high school diploma/GED with 2-3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read schematics and use common maintenance tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred
• Work 2nd or 3rd shift

Physical Demands

• Constant standing, walking, reaching and balancing
• Occasional bending, squatting, kneeling and climbing
• Minimal sitting and crawling
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Carry up to 50 lbs. approximately 5 feet
• Push/Pull 20-40 lbs. of force 40 feet

Environmental Conditions

• Ventilation: Adequate.
• Temperature: Non-Temperature Controlled. There are fans at the workstation. Humidity, Heat, Cold are factors during the year.
• Must be punctual, self-motivated, and ethical.
• Must be willing to accept direction from supervisor and complete any tasks deemed necessary that are considered, safe, ethical and moral.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work well within a team environment and collaborate with different functional groups
