You will complete maintenance requests, perform basic electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs, manage landscaping and snow removal, and support residents with after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
• Able to work overtime and respond to emergency calls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• English reading proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Complete all maintenance requests efficiently and courteously.
• Repair and maintain electrical circuits, switches, outlets, and lighting.
• Repair, install and maintain plumbing fixtures (water heaters, lavatories, toilets, dishwashers).
• Repair, install and maintain appliances (refrigerator, range, disposal, dishwasher, washer, dryer).
• Repair carpeting and tile.
• Maintain lawns, grounds, landscaping and parking lots including snow removal.
• Repair/exterior and interior common areas; perform preventative maintenance.
• Clean and maintain common areas; prepare vacant apartments for market readiness.
• Assist residents and respond to after-hours emergency calls.

Job Description

We are searching for a Maintenance Technician for our 430-unit Woodbridge Bloomington apartment community.

• We are offering a one-time $1,000 hiring bonus for this position (paid after 6 months of employment)*

The Maintenance Technician assists in maintaining the physical condition of the exterior and interior of the property and provide resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Complete all maintenance requests in an efficient and courteous manner.
• Repair and maintain simple electrical circuits, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
• Repair, install and maintain basic plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, lavatories, toilets, dishwashers.
• Repair, install and maintain basic appliances such as refrigerator, range, disposal, dishwasher, washer, and dryer.
• Repair carpeting and tile.
• Maintain lawns, grounds, landscaping, and parking lots including snow removal.
• Repair and maintain building exteriors and interior common areas.
• Complete preventative maintenance activities.
• Cleaning and housekeeping of common areas.
• Prepare vacant apartment for market ready condition, may include cleaning and painting.
• Provide resident support and respond to after-office hours emergency calls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
• Demonstrated ability or experience in the maintenance field desirable.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
• Able to work overtime and emergency call in.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
