Job summary

Premier Research Labs is seeking a Maintenance Technician to be responsible for the care, maintenance, and repair of machinery, facilities, and grounds. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, and be able to work independently while managing their own workload effectively.

This position requires a high school education or G.E.D., and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm with occasional overtime during peak periods.

  • Maintain and repair machinery, facilities, and grounds.
  • Assemble production equipment according to specifications.
  • Complete a wide range of repairs, including painting and drywall.

Position Summary

The Maintenance TechnicianIis responsible for the care, maintenance and repair of machinery,facilitiesandgrounds.

Essential Functions
  • Comply with all company policies,cGMP, OSHA, Federal, State and Local regulations andprocedures
  • Assemble complex production equipment according to blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions.
    • installing and connecting various components such as motors, gears, conveyor belts, sensors, and control systems.
    • Test assembled equipment to ensure proper operation and make any necessary adjustments.
    • Maintain accurate records of all assembly work, including any deviations from plans or instructions.
    • Troubleshoot and repair equipment asneeded.
  • Maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the facility by completing a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks.
    • Painting

    • Replacing light bulbs
    • Repairing or replacing equipment as needed
  • Expected to work independently, with the ability to prioritize and manage own workloadeffectively.

Education & Experience
  • Requires a HighSchool education, or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in related field

  • Have a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and be able to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve issues with equipment, often under tight deadlines and with limited resources.
  • Should be meticulous in their work and be able to follow instructions and procedures carefully.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage their time effectively to ensure that work is completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • May be required to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy objects, and work in awkward positions.
  • Must be aware of and follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Be able to adapt to changing needs and priorities and be willing to learn new skills as needed.
Work Environment

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to work an entire shift(8 – 12 hours) standing or sitting, when necessary, in an enclosed room.
  • Must be medically qualified to work while using a half-mask respirator or powered air purifying respirator for up to four hours at a time and be able to follow Premier Research Labs’ Respiratory Protection Program guidelines.
  • Must be able to work in a stationary position as well as move about unassisted.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as circumstances arise during the course of a shift.
  • Must have sufficient range of motion with arms and hands to reach overhead and to the side, often repetitively, during a 12-, 10- or 8-hour shift.
  • Must be able to hear and converse with supervisors and other employees.
  • Must be able to see and read small print.
  • Must be able to work in a moderate noise level environment.
  • Must be able to work a 12-, 10- or 8-hour shift.
  • Must be able to move or lift items weighing up to 55 pounds from floor to table and from table to floor, often repetitively, during a 12-, 10- or 8-hour shift.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Performs tasks outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat andcold.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to airborne dust particles, moving mechanical parts, heavy machinery and powered industrial equipment.
  • Proper PPE and gowning requirements must always be followed.
  • Employees are expected to meet the Physical Demands of their job, which is an essential duty of this job. If requested and deemed appropriate, Nutraceutical Systems International will provide a reasonable accommodation to a disabled employee to meet the Physical Demands of the job.
Work Schedule
  • Monday-Friday,7:00am-4:00pm (shifts may vary based on needs of the company)
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a background check & drug screen.
  • Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods and will be compensated and calculated in accordance with federal regulations.
