Job summary

University City Housing is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to perform skilled trades including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry to maintain and renovate properties in the Philadelphia area. The team focuses on delivering excellent resident service while performing interior and exterior maintenance across a diverse portfolio.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work independently or in a team, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to move heavy equipment and work at heights.
• Willingness to work on-call and outside traditional hours.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, assess and repair electrical, plumbing, A/C, heating, HVAC, appliances, and related components.
• Maintain service records for all tasks performed.
• Renovate and prepare homes for move-in and ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Perform preventative maintenance to protect building assets.
• Assist with snow removal and other seasonal tasks.
