Job summary

Key People is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Wooster, OH to support production by maintaining and repairing sheet metal HVAC equipment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machines and plant systems on the production floor.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years' experience in manufacturing maintenance, forklift certification, and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and HVAC systems, with a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Must follow safety regulations and keep a clean work environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must document maintenance work and repairs accurately.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work extended hours and different shifts.
• Ability to respond promptly to equipment and building emergencies.
• Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets in manufacturing.
• Forklift certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill maintenance work orders and perform preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
• Install and maintain production machines and plant equipment.
• Perform emergency and scheduled repairs on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose issues, replace components, and adjust machinery and workstations.
• Identify faulty operations or defective materials for escalation.
