Job summary

Volunteer Properties is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team and support daily operations at our apartment communities. This role focuses on maintaining the property and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliances, performing routine maintenance, turnovers, and on-call coverage. EPA/HVAC experience and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification or HVAC experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in multi-family/apartment settings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions.
• Must pass background and drug screening and have valid vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete work orders for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including painting, drywall repair, and minor carpentry.
• Complete apartment turnovers and make-ready tasks.
• Ensure grounds, common areas, and amenities are clean and functional.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
