Job summary

The Salvation Army in Roseville, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide basic preventative and corrective maintenance for the DHQ. The role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks with a 40-hour work week from Monday to Friday.

Wage ranges from $20.14 to $26.91 per hour. Requires a High School diploma, 1+ year maintenance experience, and licenses such as Special Boiler and forklift, plus a valid driver’s license and DOT Medical Examiners Certificate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years maintenance experience (carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Must possess a Special Boiler license or obtain within 120 days of employment.
• Must possess or obtain forklift certification; DHQ supports licensing/certification.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and, within 90 days, a DOT Medical Examiners Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule routine maintenance (HVAC, electric, plumbing, carpentry, painting, power equipment).
• Complete assigned work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance in a timely manner.
• Monitor, inspect, test, and maintain boiler logs.
• Assist with special events and projects (setup, equipment transport, teardown).
• Assist with winter grounds upkeep.
• Respond to after-hours emergency building calls as needed.
