Mercy Housing is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Holland & Wentworth Commons in Chicago, IL. This on-site role maintains the property, completes repairs, and assists with apartment turnovers to keep buildings safe and welcoming for residents.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders in a timely and accurate manner. Cleans up after work is complete.
• Performs repairs on the property, including painting, basic carpentry or wall repair, plumbing, and electrical.
• Cleans apartments during turnover process, as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

The successful Maintenance Technician will complete preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and apartment turnovers. As part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and customer service.

This is an on-site position.

Pay: $22-24/hour, depending on experience

Location: Holland Apartments & Wentworth Commons (132 total units) | Chicago, IL

• Early close Fridays (3 paid hours off each Friday)
• Early close prior to a holiday (3 paid hours)

Duties

• Technical training in one or more building trades preferred.
