An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to ensure the upkeep of residential and commercial properties. This part-time role involves performing routine repairs, addressing tenant requests, and assisting in capital projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property maintenance and excellent interpersonal skills to foster resident relationships. You will work closely with the Property Manager and other maintenance staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Overview:
The Maintenance Tech for the High Winds Fund will perform routine and emergency repairs on residential and commercial properties, including tasks like minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC maintenance, minor carpentry, painting, and addressing tenant maintenance requests, ensuring the overall upkeep and functionality of the buildings while adhering to safety regulations and coordinating with the Director and Property Manager to track and resolve issues effectively; often requiring on-call availability for urgent repairs. The Maintenance Tech helps to identify capital projects and works closely with the Property Manager on the summer turnover process, including some painting and cleaning where necessary. The Maintenance Tech may coordinate their work with other Macalester maintenance staff or contractors to complete larger projects.
This is a part-time position that is required to be onsite 4 days a week with flexibility to work 8:00am to 1pm or 10:00am to 3:00pm.
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position will be $24.63 - $25.19 depending on experience.
