Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in property maintenance or similar field.
• Professional and efficient interaction with residents, staff and management.
• Hands-on experience with basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC (heat pump a plus), pools, landscaping, and janitorial work.
• Applicants must furnish own tools and have transportation to vendor parts.
• HVAC and CPO certification preferred.
• CFC/EPA certification or willingness to obtain within 45 days of hire.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and stairs, and work on roofs.
• Must follow OSHA guidelines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Fair Housing certification prior to interacting with prospects or residents.
• Must be able to travel to vendors to pick up parts.
• Drug and background screening will be required.

Responsibilities

• Address resident service and maintenance requests promptly.
• Communicate status of service requests to residents and staff.
• Keep the property in safe and well-maintained condition.
• Maintain records for preventive maintenance, service requests and expenditures.
• Ensure make-ready repairs and services are completed on schedule.
• Perform grounds maintenance such as raking, sweeping, shoveling and salting.
• Change locks and keys as needed.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
