Job summary

LEE GUNSCHEL Company is seeking a skilled Handyman to join our team for residential and light commercial maintenance. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining machinery, electrical and mechanical systems, and building components.

Ideal candidates are hard-working, team players with significant maintenance experience and a proactive attitude toward quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience as handyman/general maintenance.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of carpentry methods, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to work at heights above 30 feet with ladder/lift/bucket truck.
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs consistently.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
• Perform routine maintenance such as inspecting drives, motors, belts, fluids, and filters.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions using blueprints or manuals.
• Repair machines, equipment, or structures using hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or testing devices.
• Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
