Job summary

Remington Hospitality seeks a skilled maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across our hotel properties. You will service HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment, ensure building systems function reliably, and support routine repairs and safety programs.

The role requires reading blueprints, troubleshooting complex systems, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to safety and Marriott standards.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering or commercial maintenance experience required
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, commercial kitchen equipment, and general building construction required
• State certification or licensing where required
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and respond to emergencies as needed

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical systems
• Operate, inspect, and repair building systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality
• Maintain and troubleshoot commercial kitchen equipment and related systems
• Perform general repairs, construction, and maintenance projects as needed
• Understand and efficiently maintain advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems
• Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs in a timely manner
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical parts breakdowns
• Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and opportunities for improvement
• Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests and emergencies
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, repairs completed, and preventive maintenance activities
• Follow all Marriott brand standards, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist with projects and other duties as assigned by management
