Job summary

Fabcon is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Savage, MN to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on precast concrete plant equipment and facilities. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime and support safe, efficient operations.

The role requires 2–5 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, and preferred technical training. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or a two-year technical degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, construction-materials, or heavy-industrial environments.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including conveyors and industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and equipment documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, machinery, vehicles, and facility systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and repair mixers, conveyors, augers, cranes, and other plant equipment.
• Perform welding and fabrication, cutting, and minor electrical repairs.
• Complete work orders and document maintenance activities and parts usage in CMMS/IFS.
• Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout and hot-work permits.
