Job summary

Elderwood Village at Fairport in New York is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for a full-time role. Ideal candidates have at least two years of maintenance experience including plumbing, painting, carpentry, and repairs.

The maintenance team supports resident well-being by repairing buildings and furnishings and by up-keeping grounds, including snow and ice removal. On-call shifts and driving may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• At least 1 year of related maintenance experience.
• Valid driver license.
• Participation in on-call program which may include off-hours.
• Experience with basic tools and equipment (small hand tools, lawn mowers, snow blowers).

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, painting and basic carpentry tasks as required.
• Maintain grounds, parking areas, and driveways including snow/ice removal.
• Move heavy furniture and equipment as needed.
• Ensure safety and courtesy toward residents and staff.
• Possess reliable transportation and respond to calls as needed.
• Attend facility and staff meetings as required.
