Overview

We are hiring immediately for full time MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN positions.

Location: Kingman POM - 3033 MacDonald Avenue, Kingman, AZ 86401. Openings at other locations within the school district available. Online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time; Monday through Friday, hours may vary. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of skilled maintenance duties related to facility engineering and maintenance functions.
• Assist in making decisions on normal and complex repairs; report major problems to the maintenance supervisor and foreman.
• Construct, finish, install, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems, or related facilities using power and hand tools and other necessary equipment.
• Clean, lubricate, service, repair or diagnose malfunctions of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems, sterilizers, sprinkler and standpipe systems, transport systems, electronic signaling systems, fire alarm systems and similar equipment as needed with appropriate training and licensing requirements.
• Supervise and lead a group of workers on a project.
• Read, understand and transmit complicated instructions verbally and in writing.
• Teach advanced maintenance skills to other members of the department.
• Review work of outside vendors and licensed maintenance workers; generate punch lists.
• Report on and repair discrepancies as assigned.
• Analyze and correct complex building system problems, alone or as part of a team.
• Maintain logs, perform rounds and complete work orders, tests and inspections.
• Make recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems.
• Serve as a member of the facility emergency response team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.
• Must have one of the following:
• Master license in one trade or two of the following Journeyman Electrical License or Registered ACR Technician with EPA certification in Refrigerant, or a Journeyman Plumber License, etc.
• Valid driver’s license.
