POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician position is committed to providing an excellent guest and associate experience. Responsibilities include ensuring all property equipment functions properly, premises are well-maintained, and guest rooms are in good repair. Tasks outlined in the Green Shield Binder and directed by management or the Regional Asset Manager must be completed promptly and to company standards.

MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES
- Demonstrate and promote a 100% commitment to providing the best experience for guests and associates.
- Work independently while performing duties to satisfaction and within company standards.
- Respond to guest requests diligently, following company guidelines.
- Perform cleaning tasks as per Green Shield Binder to maintain pristine conditions, including trash removal, building cleanliness, grounds, walkways, and snow/ice removal.
- Complete repairs on work orders promptly and professionally.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as scheduled.
- Follow the Green Shield Inspection schedule to complete tasks timely and according to standards.
- Maintain records such as Guest Room PM deficiencies, inspections, safety checks, and deficiency logs.
- Adhere to workflow and SOPs outlined in the Green Shield Schedule.
- Keep work areas organized and safe, manage tool inventory, and ensure tools are in good condition.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of boiler, electric, HVAC, and fire sprinkler rooms, complying with standards and ordinances.
- Ensure fire safety equipment is operational and inspected regularly.
- Follow all safety and security policies, including OSHA and ADA regulations.
- Maintain pool/spa areas if applicable, in compliance with policies and laws.
- Respond to emergencies and assist outside vendors as directed.
OTHER DUTIES
- Assist with cleaning hotel areas as assigned, including front desk, breakroom, laundry, fitness, vending, stairwells, and common areas.
- Maintain overall hotel cleanliness.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Compensation
Pay ranges vary by state, e.g., California: $18.00 - $25.00, Colorado: $17.00 - $22.00, etc. Compensation depends on role, experience, and location. The company complies with all wage laws.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES
- Proficient in English; able to interact effectively with guests, staff, and vendors.
- Understand safety rules, maintenance instructions, and company standards.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Mathematical skills including measurement conversions.
- Good judgment and guest issue resolution skills.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Remain stationary, navigate the hotel, handle tools, and detect scents and sounds.
- Access low areas, work at heights, and maintain balance.
- Push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
- Work in various environmental conditions including outdoors, wet/humid, and near mechanical or chemical hazards.
- Travel within a reasonable area as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience; or equivalent.
