Qualifications

Maintenance Technician - FT/Nights - University Hospital

Overview

This full-time night shift position has standard hours from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am. It qualifies for night shift, weekend, and holiday shift differentials.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance.
  • Respond to general maintenance calls and troubleshoot/repair secondary utility systems, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and air systems.
  • Maintain, repair, and inspect specialized machinery and equipment in compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Recommend improvements and corrections to facilities equipment and systems to meet patient care needs.
  • Coordinate with other departments and services.
  • Perform routine building and grounds inspections.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Indiana driver's license with proof of insurance may be required.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, fire systems, and air systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Proficiency with power and hand tools.
  • Basic computer skills.
